I continue to try to nap during lunch, and find myself looking forward to lunch so that I can nap, but it is causing me to miss something almost, and maybe more important to me than napping.
Napping is taking away some excellent reading time. I generally can get a full 30 minutes of reading in on my lunch hour in a typical day. To lose that 30 minutes really cuts down on the amount I can read, and the consistency of my reading. The book I’m reading now….Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes….I’m having to read in fragments here and there, including–gasp–at stoplights and in traffic. It’s certainly not the first book I’ve read while driving, and probably won’t be the last by a long stretch.
So, for now, I’m going to balance my nap/reading break depending on what the day’s demands are and how tired I am. Our hardest days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Maybe I will nap those days and read on Wednesdays and Fridays.
