14 years ago, as a young child in Idaho, Tyrel packed a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. That box ended up in the hands of Joana, a young girl in the Philippines. 14 years later, Joana looked for her friend through Facebook. And found him. This list of 25 Sculptures From Around the World caught my eye because it contains the Mustangs at Los Colinas near Irving, Texas. I have vivid memories of exploring that fountain at night–mesmerized by the mustang horses as they raced through the water. On Face-to-Face Meetings….
My job is done all on-line and virtually–Skype and Email and teleconferences dominate my day. But last week, our team met for two days of face-to-face meetings with our customer. In today’s world of virtual-everything-ness, the sit-down, face-to-face meeting is becoming a lost art. I appreciated This Article by Erik Raymond on the benefits from sitting across from someone in a room. He addresses things such as Tone, Eye Contact, and the even the positives that come from uncomfortable moments in such meetings.
