We recently finished a sermon series on the book of Hebrews at my church, Seaford Baptist. Tonight I discovered this video of Joel Shorer, who preached the memorized book of Hebrews. Listening to it was an excellent way to wrap up the entirety of the study of Hebrews. I had studied the book chapter by chapter, doing much scripture work on it, but I never considered it as a sermon in letter form. That is exactly what it is. I came away from the experience challenged about scripture memory, but even more so, challenged to continue to study scripture verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book, genre by genre, and as a cohesive, inspired, living entity.
