I often file away interesting tidbits that I come across while meandering (um, wasting time) on the internet. Here are a few things I’ve come across lately, that I’ve found interesting or helpful.
Year-End Book Lists
One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is to read through some of my favorite author’s posts about the books they have enjoyed the most throughout the year. One such list that I look forward to the most is the one that Russell Moore posts each year around this time. He always includes books that I never would have thought to read – and that I always end up adding to me “to-read” list for the upcoming year. Five Psalms
I first looked into the new app, “Five Psalms” after seeing a tweet by Don Whitney, whom I respect tremendously for what I have learned from him about spiritual disciplines. I’ve not yet used it in my own prayer time, but I’m considering incorporating it as a part of my morning prayer/study time starting in 2018. You can read more about it here: Five Psalms App

My church, Seaford Baptist, will be participating in a reading program for 2018 – our pastor has challenged us to read 18 books together in 2018. Of course, I’m all in. And our staff has picked some fantastic titles – you can check them out here (and even join us!): 18 in 18
Extreme Sheep Herding with LED Lights
This video is awesome – Welsh shepherders using LEDs to create “videos” with their sheep as they herd them. My favorite is the game of “Pong”. I seriously hope this video isn’t fake; I’d be sorely disappointed.
Christmas According to Kids
Ok – if you are on social media in any capacity, you probably have already seen this awesome video from Southland Christian Church. I think it goes viral every year. But I still want to close today’s Friday Findings with it – I could watch it a gazillion times; it makes me both chuckle and truly appreciate the birth of our Savior through the eyes of littles.
