What most people do not realize, is that the Pacific Island is full of beautiful atolls and islands. Pacific Islanders have spent hundreds of years adapting to the changes that living on an atoll or island naturally brings. But with the climate changes and the rising water, many of these Pacific Islanders are finding themselves faced with new challenges and hardships.
I found this article in Christianity Today, about the nation of Tuvalu, to be fascinating. I had never thought about the human race living “with the grain of creation”. God is still creating. And we are called to be wise stewards of this creation, whether it means the use of new land created through the eruption of Kilauea, or changing planting practices on Tuvalu.
